There are some new screenshots on ToTheGame showing off various vehicle and weapon HUDs and sights, as well as the binoculars. There is also a screen that appears to be the spy satellite view for the commander.

I'm currently testing higher slot counts over 40, so please bear with the server restarts and possible lag with the higher slot count during this brief testing phase.
Thank you,

A decent interview is up on FZ.se with 15 reader-submitted questions.
Topics include the match recording feature, the vehicle heads-up display,
and the fact that your player account will only receive advancement
experience on "official" (EA) servers. SUCK!

Sorry for the downtime folks, I'm working on migrating from fedora to freebsd, along with some major upgrades between the web server, database server, and others. Most everything should be online right now except the server stats, which hopefully will be up tonight. Please report any problems with this site to webmaster atsign clanc dot cc or through our forums. Thanks!
UPDATE: We should be pretty much done now. The stats are back online (no live updates yet, will be tomorrow) and everything appears to be functional. Please, report any problems to us!

Another Battlefield 2 Q&A has been created giving even more details on the new changes. Check it out!
Full story at www.totalvideogames.com
Obviously, my favorite tidbit here was: "The US Marines will be equipped with the F35 joint strike fighter that will be able to perform the short take-offs and the vertical landings." Oh yeah!

Our server is now running one custom map, "Operation Ebony Eyes" by GamersRadio. Please take a moment to download it and give it a try. Anyone that downloaded our map pack already has this installed - We just removed Shattered Skies from the pack and rotation until we come up with a better air battle map. One is in the works by one of our members, Wardrop, so keep an eye out for the next pack!
Exe (Installer) Format with uninstall
ZIP (Archive) Format for the paranoid Extract the .RFA file to /EA GAMES/Battlefield Vietnam/Mods/BfVietnam/archives/bfvietnam/levels/
If you have any problems installing it, please let us know!

Here's another short Battlefield 2 preview from TotalBF2, briefly discussing the assault
and sniper classes, as well as a few other game features.
"Something else that is worth to mention is that medics can't heal themselves in BF2,
but only teammates. When you die, a 10 seconds timer will appear and if you do
have a medic near you somewhere he can revive you with a electrical shock."
There's also a few new small screenshots up at PlanetBattlefield showing some armor.

We are adding two custom maps to our rotation starting Monday, Jan 24th - Operation Ebony Eyes and Operation Shattered Skies. The maps were selected from a bunch us CCC members have played and we welcome any feedback on them. We also are looking for more quality custom maps to put in rotation with lots of vehicles and large in size.
Shattered Skies
Operation Ebony Eyes
Please leave feedback in our forums on these maps and suggest any good ones you know of! Enjoy guys, and thanks for making our server so popular these past weeks!

A little more info on Battlefield 2 from IGN.
" The particular visual treat was in the amazing draw distance this
game's gigantic levels allowed,
which was never hitched up as we zoomed
across hills on jeeps or ran up towers for flags."
Sweet...

Some may recognize the name/format of the page from a BFV info page I did before BFV's release. Basically I track BF2 updates (reviews, previews, interviews, etc.) and gather all the information I can and display it as simply as I can, no unnecessary text, no repeat information, no flashy graphics, etc.
One thing I won't be doing is making a massive screenshot gallery. I'm a little late on starting this page and others have already collected a large amount of screens. I will include screenshots showing off a vehicle/weapon/map etc.

An update from GameSpot on a work-in-progress demo of Battlefield 2 they caught at CES.
Some interesting tidbits:
"The medic will now be equipped with a defibrillator that can presumably be used to
resuscitate downed allies, though we heard tell that you'll be able to use it to take out
hapless enemies with it as well."
"The anti-tank class even has a rocket that can be guided for a short time after it's fired
(much like the rocket launcher in Half-Life)."
"The American tanks have a digital rangefinder, for instance, which shows you the
distance to whatever you have in your sights. The MEC tank we tried, however, had a
simple mechanical rangefinder that will require you to aim in a different manner."
Good stuff. Expected release date is within two months.

Of course Battlefield 2 has to offer by far more then only infantry that we covered in part one. Those of you already familar with our BF2 Gameplayvideo will already have an idea about which role vehicles will take and what diversity we are going to expect. You should take notice though that this movie does not present you all the vehicles included in Battlefield 2, but instead it's only showing those present on the map Zatar Wetlands.
